Rainy Day Video Constitutional
I don't think I need to say anything other than Kenny Powers IS Darth Vader.
This 15-year-old girl going all beat-box on a flute is amazing. I would have been friends with more floutists in high school if they were able to do this.
I didn't want to post this because I didn't want to give this damn "church" any more publicity, but it's the Foo Fighters, and this helps to prove their awesomeness.
Once again I missed the Emmys, and these clips make me wish I hadn't.
Here's Jane Lynch's full intro. Most of it is only slightly below average, but the Mad Men stuff is wonderful. I tried to cut out the bad stuff, but I couldn't. If I did this correctly, though, the video should start at the right time.
I've never watched Mike & Molly, so I don't know how deserving the winner for Best Actress in a Comedy Series was, but I refuse to believe she was better than Pollen, Fey or Plimpton. Regardless, the presentation of nominees and the winner's speech were excellent.
This was my favorite of the dreadful Emmytones. I felt bad for Joel McHale and Zachary Levi, only slightly bad for Colby Smothers.
Despite the talent involved in this (Andy Samburg, Emma Stone, Bill Hader, Zach Galifiankis, Seth Rogen, Ken Jeong, Ed Helms, Emma Stone, Samuel L. Jackson ['cause he's in everything], Aziz Ansari), it's a big pile of meh at best. But hey, it's funny people delivering bad Star Wars lines, so there's a BIT of entertainment to be had, and Emma Stone is just a delight to watch.
I don't have time to watch all the late-night talk shows that I want to, so I'm glad highlights are almost instantly available. And I applaud Conan for his reaction to Nicole Scherzinger's bust (PUN!).
I like Joseph Gordon-Levitt as much as the next guy, but this movie looks like a joke. It looks like the plot of a '90s action movie with dialogue that is just corny as hell.
This trailer has no dialogue, just two minutes of pure action and violence, and I want to see the movie so badly now. And the music is by Mike Shinoda of Linkin Park, so that's a plus.
It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia outtakes? I guess I know what I'm going to be doing this morning.
More Star Wars fun! This time we let Porkins have the day he deserves.
And here we have Vader reacting to various things.
I watched this video, like, 10 times and I STILL don't know how to play rugby. And I'm sleepy.

Probably for the rest of the month I’m going to whore myself out with an impassioned plea: click on the ads. PLEASE click on the ads. I don’t care if you exit it out of it immediately or actually look around. This isn’t some professional blog where I believe in the products I’m shilling. These are automatic ads placed by Google. But my experiment this weekend proved to me that I actually AM making a spot of cash whenever the ads are clicked. So I’m going to put this little disclaimer on the bottom of all my posts for the next month or so, and I hope you’ll take an extra 10 seconds after reading my blog to click on an ad. Thanks so much!

Memorial Day Weekend Video Constitutional
Here's the teaser for the next season of True Blood.
The the live action Ambiguously Gay Duo sketch from this past weekends Saturday Night Live. It's not all that funny, but the cameos are fun to watch.
AHHHH!!! AHHHHHHH!!! DEMON!!!! IT'S A DEMON!!!!! BURN IT BEAT IT KILL IT DEAD!!!!
THIS is the Epic Meal Time episode that almost made me throw up at my desk. I'm totally fine with all the meat stuff, but I don't have a sweet tooth like I used to.
This should be a commercial. Parents like me would get one of these for their kids based on this clip alone.
In the past 33 years my parents have owned three beagles, so I have a bit of a soft spot in my heart for them. Here's a video of one who has learned how to catch a ball with his paws.
Can't say this is my favorite Epic Meal Time, but it's not bad.
Not as good as Dick in a Box, but I think I like 3-Way better than Motherlover.
I recently had a Parks and Recreation marathon and was pleased and surprised when Louis C.K. showed up. It really made me miss his show. But it's coming back next month! Yay!
New trailer for the new season of True Blood. I got a little giddy.
Okay, I was really prepared not to enjoy the latest installment of Between Two Ferns with Zach Galifianakis. It's wo actors who can be over-the-top, and I expected them to out over-the-top each other to the point of eye rolling. Didn't happen. The stuff with the food and John Hamm was briliant.

Too Much Drama Constitutional
I don't care if the movie is going to make any sense, Sucker Punch LOOKS incredible.
Kittens with myotonia congenita. It's cuter than it sounds.
Those same kittens being shot with laser blasters.
HEre's another Supernatural fan video. It's Dean and his sexual conquests set to Mr. Boombastic. Kinda awesome.
First, Joel McHale on the "real" part of the Today Show.
http://tv.gawker.com/5681448/joel-mchale-stops-by-today-to-pimp-out-communitys-latest-episode
Now, here he is drinking with Hoda and Kathy Lee during the final hour.
WATCH THE FIRST EPISODE (I almost typed issue) OF THE WALKING DEAD...HERE!
More Zach Galifianakis? More Zach Galifianakis.
I need to start going to more football games.

What You Should Have Heard #36
My Mix CDs
I’ve got a lot of music but limited space to hold it in, especially in my car. So I’ve gone the old tried-and-true way of making mix CDs to have access to as many bands as possible while driving. I’m going slightly old-school since I’m a bit backwards and have no iPod.
Most of the songs will be more upbeat, with probably only the occasional ballad or slower song included. I like to sing in the car, and the more upbeat songs are more fun to sing.
I’ll be going in alpha-numeric order with these, so if you’re wanting to argue with me about what Weezer songs should be included, you’re going to be waiting for a while.
My only limitations are that I use 80 min. discs, and I’m only going to use one disc per band/artist. I will make exceptions for only my most favorite bands with huge playlists (Foo Fighters and Self, off the top of my head), but I’d really like to boil everything down to just one disc.
Here’s the list guide:
Track # - Song Name - Album Name [Artist if album is by a different artist]
Fiona Apple Mix CD
- Extraordinary Machine – Extraordinary Machine
- Get Him Back – Extraordinary Machine
- Better Version of Me – Extraordinary Machine
- Tymps (The Sick in the Head Song) – Extraordinary Machine
- Window – Extraordinary Machine
- Oh Well – Extraordinary Machine
- Please Please Please – Extraordinary Machine
- Not About Love – Extraordinary Machine
- Sleep to Dream – Tidal
- Criminal – Tidal
- Limp – When the Pawn…
- A Mistake – When the Pawn…
- Fast As You Can – When the Pawn…
- Across the Universe – When the Pawn…
I’ve been a fan of Fiona Apple since Tidal was released the summer I graduated from high school. It’s my least favorite of her three releases, though. The music is good. The lyrics are great. She’s a wonderful piano player. It’s just too, I don’t know if depressing is really the right word I’m looking for, but it’s the best one I’ve got at the moment. I need something a little more upbeat, and this didn’t really cut it.
Her next offering When the Pawn…(did you know that this album once held the Guinness world record for longest album title?) did a bit of a better job, but it was Extraordinary Machine that really grabbed me. I’m always going to love some piano playing with my rock and pop music (Ben Folds, Billy Joel, Andrew W.K., Fluid Ounces, Vanessa Carlton, etc.), and I just get giddy when it’s played so…damn…well. This album gives me more up-tempo and upbeat music with some extraordinary piano playing and songwriting.
Now, I’ll be honest and admit that I downloaded the first version of EM that was leaked onto the Internet, and I loved it. But as mentioned, that was the first version, and it wasn’t the final officially released version. I like both versions, and they’re different enough to really be two different releases, but I think that the official release is the better version. It’s not that it’s cleaner or more polished; the leaked version, if I’m not mistaken, was complete and fully mastered. I just like the official mixes better.
A Billboard article from September states that a new album should be released in Spring 2011. Looking at the various types of music Apple has given us with her three releases, I’ll be curious and excited to see what we’re given with a new release.
With my current geek-love for Zach Galifiniakis, I can’t believe I’m just now finding out about this. Here’s “Not About Love” featuring Chad Farthouse (look it up) himself. Oh, and it’s a pretty damn good song, too.

Firedrill Friday Constitutional
Want to kill some time at work? Or an entire week? How about playing Super Mario Brothers Crossover?
Totally didn't notice this while watching Community last week. Damn, now I've got to watch what's going on the background.
Oh, Charisma, what has happened to your career? I think I need to focus my lustful energies on other Buffy cast members. Thank God for How I Met Your Mother.
Yay!! It's another Between Two Ferns!! And it's got Bruce Willis!! Go see Red!!
I thought The Black Parade by My Chemical Romance was an almost perfect album. I'm pretty sure that there's not one song that I skip when I play it. So they've got a video out for the first single, "Na Na Na," from their fourth studio album, Danger Days: The True Lives of the Fabulous Killjoys. The leader of the group that's fighting MCR? That's legendary comic book writer Grant Morrison. I think we can safely assume that soon we'll have a massive throwdown between Coheed and Cambria with Peter David and My Chemical Romance with Grant MOrrison. Why? 'Cause that's just the way my mind works.
This video is amazing. It's of a father/son project to put a camera into space using a weather balloon and an Apple iPhone as a GPS device. The video is somewhat long at just shy of seven minutes, but it's worth your time. I was transfixed for the entire time. I WISH I had the ability to do something like this with my kids. They'd love it.

Bat fight! It's a battle of wits!
Here are some classic scenes from Between Two Ferns with Zach Galifianakis set to the music of Radiohead's Creep as sung by a children's choir. Did you see The Social Network? Was it as awesome as it looks? Anyways, this has my favorite line from Between Two Ferns, and it's with Natalie Portman. See if you can guess what it is.
"The Social Network" Trailer - watch more funny videos
Looks like I'll be watching late-night TV again starting in November. Thanks Conan. Thanks for that.
"I had confidence in a fart once, and I shat my pants!" Simon Pegg is a must-see actor for me. And Isla Fisher? Really? Double sold!
This commercial for Spike TV's Scream 2010 Awards uses the scientist guy from Lost (you know, THAT one), and was clever enough that it actually got me interested in watching the show.

Massive Constitutional
I've got nothing against beer in a can, but I collect bottle labels, so that hurts me. But after reading the article, I might start collecting cans. Otherwise, I'm okay with them. They seem less classy, but I've never been accused of being classy.
Canned Beer
Let's keep an alcohol theme going. Need a reason to continue drinking moderately? You just might live a bit longer.
Beer Good
Any possible news on either of these two comic books makes me squee with delight.
Sandman TV Show!?!?!?!
I only watched the comedy part of the Emmys, and I loved this Modern Family skit. The Clooney stuff at the end is great.
When I DVR shows and skip commercials, I miss gems like these Infiniti ads with the cast of Community.
Jimmy Fallon's musical tribute to "three shows we lost this year."
Okay, here's my last Emmy video. This was a great intro to the Emmys that stared most of the Glee cast, Tina Fey, Jon Hamm, Joel McHale, Jorge Garcia, and others. The only thing that could have made this Glee-tastic cover of Bruce Springsteen's "Born to Run" would have been to have Jimmy Fallon to pull Courtney Cox on stage. I know she was in a different Boss video, but with her "Cougar Town" success, it would have been entertaining to see. I liked the diss of Kate Gosselin and I loved that Hamm was getting dance lessons from Betty White. From what little I saw, I liked Fallon as a host. I liked the little songs that introduced the comdey and drama categories with Amy Poehler and Juliana Margulies. I could have done without the Twitter stuff, but that's just me. I kinda wish I would have been able to see the whole program.
I originally thought this was a little longer than it needed to be, but it's worth it in the end.
Since I'll be announcing at TWO marching band competitions this year, I expect to see this used in a show at least twice.
I loved the text video for Cee Lo Green's song, "Fuck You," but I've got to say that I like the official video better, especially the beginning with the kid lip-synching.
I don't like Sean Penn. As an actor or a two-faced "humanitarian." So I was already expecting to like his appearance on Between Two Ferns with Zach Galifianakis. But this episode is guest hosted by Zach's twin brother Seth. Oh God, I love it even more. Penn is just an afterthought to the wonder that is Seth Galifianakis.
Here's the latest trailer for Due Date, and no matter how hard he tries by just being in the movie, I don't think even Jamie Foxx will make me dislike this movie.

We're Back! Video Dump
I've never read the comic, but this movie looks all sorts of awesome. Scott Pilgrim vs. the World.
Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert join Conan O'Brien on stage for a dance-off...the Andy Richter shoots Stewart.
Tosh.0 is back!!!!!!
Gonna have to see Dinner for Shmucks. Yup, gonna have to see it.
I wasn't good at the video game, and I never saw the other movies because they looked horrible...but this is a pretty kick-ass trailer for a new Mortal Kombat movie.
Having an immortal dog might not be as awesome as you might think.
A boombox can change the world. You've gotta know your limits with a boombox.
I thought I had posted this already, but I couldn't find it, so here are...all?...of Terry Crews' Old Spice commercials. Pa-pa-pa-pa-pa-pa-POWER!!!
First trailer for The Voyage of the Dawn Treader, the next Narnia installment.
Best Scott Pilgrim trailer I've seen yet.
Despite Luke Wilson, you've got Giovanni Ribisi, James Caan, and I'm pretty sure I saw a brief glimpse of Kevin Pollack, three excellent reasons to watch any movie. Then you've got the added bonus of this being about the rise of Internet porn, and it becomes captivating.

Another Weekly Video Dump
Why not vote for this guy Conway School Board?
Lost Season 5 Bloopers. Eh, I've seen better.
Kevin Smith on the Twilight phenomenon. For those of you who have never heard of Kevin Smith, this will contain some harsh language.
Here's a new clip from Kick Ass. It's Nick Cage's character shooting his daughter. I do believe this movie will, in fact, kick ass.
The Clash of the Titans remake could be kind of awesome. But that's what trailers are supposed to make you think, so...?
Zach Galifianakis lip synching to Kanye West's "Can't Tell Me Nothing." I apologize that you have to listen to a Kanye song just to see an awesome Zach video.
Kevin Costner and Cary Elwes will always be Robin Hood to me, but here's the trailer to the new Russel Crowe Robin Hood movie.
Tosh.0 was renewed for a 25 episode second season. That's awesome news. Here's just a taste.
Although she's a gorgeous, gorgeous woman, I'm not that big a fan of Alicia Keys' music. But I've got to include this clip from her performance on the Colbert Report. She's performing "Empire State of Mind," and Colbert steps in for Jay-Z. 'Nuff said.
I love just about all the original programming on FX, and this new show starring Timothy Oliphant will hopefully be as awesome as The Shield, Sons of Anarchy, Dirt, and Nip/Tuck (at least the first few seasons).
Latest trailer for Alice in Wonderland. This looks spooky good.
Craig Robinson. Rob Corrdrey. Chevy Chase. John Cusack (meh). A time machine...in a hot tub.
