Teeth-Pulling Video Constitutional

Misha Collins was on The Soup, and I'm not totally sure what he was plugging. He was in a bit with some Spartacus actors (wasn't Lucy Lawless' character killed?), and Joel said he was from Supernatural, which was plugged. Is Misha coming back soon? I hope so. Also, Joel butchered the pronunciation of Castiel (which isn't shown in the clip, but Misha comes back for a bit and kicks the crap out of Joel.

Oh wait! Here it is!

I don't like American Idol, and I've even stopped watching the train-wreck auditions, but this clip made the rounds, and yeah, I would totally support this guy all the way through.

Meat balls with candy centers? No thanks, Epic Meal Time. The sausage chili banana split doesn't look all that bad, though.

I've seen the first season of Mad Men, but not the rest. I've been meaning to, and I'm going to work like hell to get caught up before the new season starts. Maybe then I'll appreciate this a little more.

Just like mash-ups, I'm a sucker for well-produced supercuts. Remember that scene from "When Harry Met Sally"? Yeah, you know the one. Here's a great supercut that expands on it.

The Walking Dead meets the Growing Pains opening theme. The day is done, my friend. You won't find anything better than this today.

Paul Rudd answers the age-old question: why do dudes like boobs?

If AMC is smart, they'll link to this Breaking Bad video for months leading up to the premiere of the final season. This is amazing. Acording to the description, it's clips of the show set to an Ennio Morricone remix from "The Good, the Bad and the Ugly."

This is kind of funny, but the real draw to this is Joel McHale's hair. Points removed for not being embeddable.

Recognition Video Constitutional

I love quality mash-ups, and here's one from MadMix Mustang. Queen + The Beatles = Fat Bottomed Girls Come Together.

Epic Meal Time's candy recipes always make me feel a little sick after watching them. Regardless, it's still an entertaining video every week.

Is it wrong to actually want to vote for the joke candidate?

I got into Breaking Bad between the latest season and the one previous, but I absolutely fell in love with it. This supercut of various POV scenes is mesmerizing.

You know, this supercut of Brad Pitt eating in movies isn't BAD, but it's not all that great, either. It's a bit misleading. The creator of the supercut wants us to believe Pitt eats a lot in movies, but the majority of this is clips from the Ocean's movies and a few from Meet Joe Black. In the first, that's just what his character does. It's like the brothers with their constant bickering or Don Cheadle trying to be British. And the stuff from Meet Joe Black? It's Death trying new things, so of course he's going to be trying different foods. Meh.

Mike should totally have been awarded the $800 back during the break. Totally correct answer.

I DVRed the Golden Globes so I could fast forward through the crap and just watch Ricky Gervais and the acceptance speeches from actors I liked and for shows I love. Turns out, nope, I recored the Red Carpet pre-show instead. Dammit. Well, here's Gervais' opening monologue.

This video of inappropriate wooing during Saved by the Bell clips needs to be longer. The funny is just too short.

When the trailer for "John Dies at the End" started, I was thinking that it looked like a creepy little flick somewhere along the lines of Frailty. Then it just got weird.

Raise your hand if you asked for a video of dogs barking the Star Wars theme. No? Nobody? Well, I'm glad somebody decided to do this, 'cause it's awesome.

I would have listened to more of Will Smith's solo stuff if it were more like this. As it stands, he needs Jazzy Jeff.

I can't see Tom Lenk as anything other than Andrew from Buffy the Vampire Slayer, and that kind of makes this a little bit funnier, because really, it isn't all that funny.

Hello Caller - watch more funny videos

So how about a Funny or Die video worth watching? Rachel Bilson in shorty shorts rapping about her CW show "Hart of Dixie." I don't watch the show, but Bilson is cute as hell.

Joel McHale was on Sesame Street. That's all you need to know.

[Insert Witty Title] Video Constitutional

This was a neat little video that the cast and crew of Doctor Who put together after David Tennant left the show. Wow, man...just wow.

Here's the trailer for the latest Mission Impossible movie. Despite his personal craziness, I still dig Tom Cruise as an actor. Also, Simon Pegg is in it, so there you go. I'm still looking forward to Jeremy Renner as Hawkeye more than I am him taking over this franchise.

Joel McHale makes an audition tape for People Magazine's Sexiest Man Alive. Yeah, I'd vote for him.

This song goes out to the power-hungry IT guy at work who totally removed Spotify from my computer. I'm glad I spent all that time finding the 15,000 songs I wanted in my playlists. Thanks, jerk.

Every death from HBO's Game of Thrones? Awesome. Set to Guns 'n Roses' cover of "Knockin' on Heaven's Door?" Even better.

Game of Thrones Death Montage from Doctor Roboto on Vimeo.

I'm starting to throw up just about everything shared with me by a few friends. That means you'll probably getting some Hunger Games stuff. Thanks, Christy! FYI, I think I'm going to trim my beard like the one Wes Bentley's character is sporting.

The Foo Fighters with Joan Jett playing "Bad Reputation." I wish she would have been at the concert I went to instead of Lemmy.

I'm not a cat person, mainly because I'm allergic to them. But oh my God I would become a crazy cat lady and fill my house with these, allergies be damned.

I'm not a sports person either. I had never heard of Jerry Sandusky before the past couple of weeks, and I'm absolutely horrified at what he's alleged to have done. I say alleged because the guy hasn't been found guilty in a court of law, but in the court of me, yeah, dude's guilty. And listening to this interview with Bob Costas, wow, he doesn't help himself at all. I've also decided that Bob Costas has replaced Stephen Colbert as my favorite interviewer. He absolutely rips into Sandusky, but he does it so calmly and professionally that I can almost understand why Sandusky seemed so open about some of the things he talked about.

I don't have an iPhone, but now I feel very sorry for Siri.

I've missed a LOT of Epic Meal Time. Time to catch up!

Why not, JGL? Why not?

If this passes, my blog is finished. If you enjoy this blog or just about ANY entertainment-related blog, fight this.

Well, this video totally convinced me to put in surveillance cameras in my house.

Pumpkin Carving Video Constitutional

If you can't tell, I'm giddy right now. Here's the first official trailer for Joss Whedon's Avengers movie. It's short on story and big on character shots, but I dno't care. It looks amazing, and I cant' wait to see this as soon as it's released. So far the only stumbling block for me has been the inclusion of Mark Ruffalo as Bruce Banner, but I think I can get past that.

The latest Epic Meal Time. Two words: squid shots.

I always come into these outtake videos expecting the best but being horribly disappointed because it's just people laughing at the camera with no set-up. Plain line flubs aren't funny to us...do something else! And the cast of Community DOES do something else!

I can't say that I'm the biggest fan of Minecraft. It's just not the sort of game I like. But I appreciate the thought, time and energy that people put into it. Now somebody has gone and put Weeping Angels from Doctor Who in it. It's kind of freaky.

I never got into Voltron as a kid. I was always a huge fan of the Transformers and G.I. Joe, and I gave He-Man a viewing every now and then. But I AM a fan of Psych (and super pissed that this season's premiere went completely under my radar), and this fan video stars Det. Lassiter himself, Timothy Omundson.

I like Brad Pitt, but this made me laugh...for about the first 30 seconds, then it just got old. But I do remember seeing this in the theater and being taken totally by surprise by this scene.

I'm taking all three of the kids to The Muppets. I don't care how stressful it'll be, they'll love what they sit still long enough to watch.

I highly doubt I'll actually see this in the theater, but I'll probably Redbox the new American Pie movie when it's available.

Rainy Day Video Constitutional

I don't think I need to say anything other than Kenny Powers IS Darth Vader.

This 15-year-old girl going all beat-box on a flute is amazing. I would have been friends with more floutists in high school if they were able to do this.

I didn't want to post this because I didn't want to give this damn "church" any more publicity, but it's the Foo Fighters, and this helps to prove their awesomeness.

Once again I missed the Emmys, and these clips make me wish I hadn't.

Here's Jane Lynch's full intro. Most of it is only slightly below average, but the Mad Men stuff is wonderful. I tried to cut out the bad stuff, but I couldn't. If I did this correctly, though, the video should start at the right time.

I've never watched Mike & Molly, so I don't know how deserving the winner for Best Actress in a Comedy Series was, but I refuse to believe she was better than Pollen, Fey or Plimpton. Regardless, the presentation of nominees and the winner's speech were excellent.

This was my favorite of the dreadful Emmytones. I felt bad for Joel McHale and Zachary Levi, only slightly bad for Colby Smothers.

Despite the talent involved in this (Andy Samburg, Emma Stone, Bill Hader, Zach Galifiankis, Seth Rogen, Ken Jeong, Ed Helms, Emma Stone, Samuel L. Jackson ['cause he's in everything], Aziz Ansari), it's a big pile of meh at best. But hey, it's funny people delivering bad Star Wars lines, so there's a BIT of entertainment to be had, and Emma Stone is just a delight to watch.

I don't have time to watch all the late-night talk shows that I want to, so I'm glad highlights are almost instantly available. And I applaud Conan for his reaction to Nicole Scherzinger's bust (PUN!).

I like Joseph Gordon-Levitt as much as the next guy, but this movie looks like a joke. It looks like the plot of a '90s action movie with dialogue that is just corny as hell.

This trailer has no dialogue, just two minutes of pure action and violence, and I want to see the movie so badly now. And the music is by Mike Shinoda of Linkin Park, so that's a plus.

It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia outtakes? I guess I know what I'm going to be doing this morning.

More Star Wars fun! This time we let Porkins have the day he deserves.

And here we have Vader reacting to various things.

I watched this video, like, 10 times and I STILL don't know how to play rugby. And I'm sleepy.

Totally Oblivious Video Constitutional

Suzanne Santo, lead vocals for honeyhoney, has an amazing voice. I love it, and I've really liked the group since I first heard "Little Toy Gun" a year or so ago. Here they're covering Smashing Pumpkins' "1979." I don't really care all that much for the original, because I'm more of a fan of the harder, full-of-feedback Pumpkins. I really like this cover, though.

KSwiss now gets tons of respect from me. I don't know if this'll actually help them sell any shoes, but it's the best damn shoe commercial I've ever seen.

I'm a bit unsure about all the bone marrow, but other than that this doesn't look all that bad. I don't know what makes it a stockyard burger, though. Is the the combinatin of pork and beef?

It's long, but it's worth it. And that's what I tell all the ladies. It's Film Drunk's super mash-up of dirty talk.

I like Will Forte, I like Erinn Hayes, and I think this is a great premise for a short film.

Oh, Joel McHale, you make me smile.

I've not really taken notice of Michael Buble. I will acknowledge that he is a good singer, and his songs aren't that bad, but I've just not gotten into him. But then I came across this Bad Lip Reading video of his song "Haven't Met You Yet," and I had to check out the original to compare them. Love the lip reading song, like the original.

Michael Bublé - Haven't Met You Yet by Warner-Music

I had forgotten all about the Sherlock Holmes sequel, but now I'm really excited. So excited that I think I'll see what Guy Ritchie movies Netflix Instant has available.

I try to stay away from posting things that are TOO sexy or risque, because despite the random cussing and violence, this is still a family-friendly blog. Of course, imaginary rules were made to be broken. And since Alison Brie is my new girlfriend (What? You hadn't heard? I guess I'm not that surprised, We're keeping it on the downlow so I'm not drawn into her crazy celebrity lifestyle. Leave us alone, paparazzi! Let our love blossom!), I figured I'd promote her GQ shoot.

More sexiness you ask? Answered! Here's Kaley Cuoco giving a PSA, right in time for ComiCon, regarding the overusage of Slave Leia cosplay. I don't necessarily agree with the message, but I still like the video. And the Baroness outfit was hot!

Ellie Kemper was a great addition to The Office. She's cute and funny and has red hair. And she's funny in other things, too! Except for this. This isn't funny at all.

Too Much Drama Constitutional

I don't care if the movie is going to make any sense, Sucker Punch LOOKS incredible.

Kittens with myotonia congenita. It's cuter than it sounds.

Those same kittens being shot with laser blasters.

HEre's another Supernatural fan video. It's Dean and his sexual conquests set to Mr. Boombastic. Kinda awesome.

First, Joel McHale on the "real" part of the Today Show.

Massive Constitutional

I've got nothing against beer in a can, but I collect bottle labels, so that hurts me. But after reading the article, I might start collecting cans. Otherwise, I'm okay with them. They seem less classy, but I've never been accused of being classy.

Canned Beer

Let's keep an alcohol theme going. Need a reason to continue drinking moderately? You just might live a bit longer.

Beer Good

Any possible news on either of these two comic books makes me squee with delight.

Sandman TV Show!?!?!?!

I only watched the comedy part of the Emmys, and I loved this Modern Family skit. The Clooney stuff at the end is great.

When I DVR shows and skip commercials, I miss gems like these Infiniti ads with the cast of Community.

Jimmy Fallon's musical tribute to "three shows we lost this year."

Okay, here's my last Emmy video. This was a great intro to the Emmys that stared most of the Glee cast, Tina Fey, Jon Hamm, Joel McHale, Jorge Garcia, and others. The only thing that could have made this Glee-tastic cover of Bruce Springsteen's "Born to Run" would have been to have Jimmy Fallon to pull Courtney Cox on stage. I know she was in a different Boss video, but with her "Cougar Town" success, it would have been entertaining to see. I liked the diss of Kate Gosselin and I loved that Hamm was getting dance lessons from Betty White. From what little I saw, I liked Fallon as a host. I liked the little songs that introduced the comdey and drama categories with Amy Poehler and Juliana Margulies. I could have done without the Twitter stuff, but that's just me. I kinda wish I would have been able to see the whole program.

I originally thought this was a little longer than it needed to be, but it's worth it in the end.

Since I'll be announcing at TWO marching band competitions this year, I expect to see this used in a show at least twice.

I loved the text video for Cee Lo Green's song, "Fuck You," but I've got to say that I like the official video better, especially the beginning with the kid lip-synching.

I don't like Sean Penn. As an actor or a two-faced "humanitarian." So I was already expecting to like his appearance on Between Two Ferns with Zach Galifianakis. But this episode is guest hosted by Zach's twin brother Seth. Oh God, I love it even more. Penn is just an afterthought to the wonder that is Seth Galifianakis.

Here's the latest trailer for Due Date, and no matter how hard he tries by just being in the movie, I don't think even Jamie Foxx will make me dislike this movie.

Massive Friday Video Dump

The video is kind of lame unless you really like Christmas lights, but listen to the song. Listen closely.

Community is hands down the best new sitcom (maybe show) of the season. Here's Danny Pudi and Donald Glover doing their rap at (what I'm guessing is) one of Joel McHale's live shows.

And just for the heck of it, here are all the end credits of the show I could find. Watch them. They're funny.

Leonardo DiCaprio. Ellen Page. Joseph Gordon Levitt. Michael Caine. Christopher Nolan. Four cast members and the director of Inception. Watch the trailer and see if it doesn't look fantastic. And here's an awesome description that I'm stealing from the writer of FilmDrunk.com: "To put it in movie short hand, Inception looks like Tron meets Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind if it was a heist film, with elements of Dark City and Star Trek: Generations. (*head explodes*)"

Any gun people out there? This is a new weapon that will be test in Afghanistan this summer. It pretty awesome.

It's Connect Four Million!

Matt Damon's latest, The Adjustment Bureau.

What You Should Have Watched #3

I said I’d do it, and although it’s happening a bit later than I had planned, here it is, in all it’s heterosexually secure glory: awesome guys I’ll watch bad TV for. Y'know, scratch that. I only consider one of the shows mentioned bad. I'll START watching a show regardless of initial thoughts because of the actor. It's just my luck that most of these turn out pretty good.

People Who Have Been Touched by Joss Whedon

Joss Whedon has created some of my favorite television moments, so the actors and actresses whom he has deemed worthy of being able to personify his visions, well, they get a pass from me.

Chuck is not a good TV show. It is the visual equivalent of potato chips: you know there’s nothing good or redeeming about it, but you continue to consume until you’re sitting there with an empty bag next you and fingers covered in grease. My decision to begin watching this show is based solely on the cast inclusion of one of the co-stars, Adam Baldwin. Manly men may recognize him as Animal Mother from Full Metal Jacket, ladies may remember him as Agent Chad Shelton from the short-lived yet awesome Taye Diggs while all loyal Browncoats loved him as Jayne on Firefly (and later as Hamilton on Angel). Baldwin (no relation to those Baldwins) has a tendency to portray gun-toting bad asses with no time for pansies or wiseacres.

His Firefly and Serenity co-star, Nathan Fillion, will always have a place on my DVR. Currently starring in the ABC crime drama Castle, Fillion has also had memorable turns on Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Desperate Housewives and Two Guys and a Girl, as well as appearing in Saving Private Ryan, Slither and Waitress. This guy radiates such a good-natured cockiness and has an infectious sense of humor. From interviews I’ve seen or stories I’ve read, he seems incredibly down-to-earth and in awe of his fans. Oh, and he’s a great actor.

The last Firefly/Serenity (and Dollhouse antagonist) co-star I’ll mention is Alan Tudyk. He’s been slightly less visible than Baldwin or Fillion, but no less memorable. He had a brief (maybe two episodes) run on Arrested Development (Ann’s dad) and, while on Dollhouse, was doing double-duty by appearing in a few episodes of the remake of V. Most people might remember him best (if not as Wash) as Pirate Steve in Dodgeball, but I think he did an awesome job in the British film Death at a Funeral (and his character in the U.S. remake will be taken on by James Marsden…eh, it could have been worse).

The last actor from the Wedon-verse I’ll mention is David Boreanaz. I started watching Bones because of him, and almost gave up on it. I liked the guy, but the show was really sucking, and he wasn’t doing much to differentiate from the character who made him, Angel. But as the first season went on, he started making Seeley Booth his own, and now I love the show. Sure, he’s had some stinkers along the way (The Crow: Wicked Prayer and Valentine come to mind), but that’s in the past. He’s come into his own since then.

Random Actors

There are a few more actors I’ll watch in anything they do.

Mandy Patinkin is the first name that comes to mind. Now, you may think that it’s because of his excellence in The Princess Bride, but no, it’s actually because of Chicago Hope. His portrayal of Dr. Jeffrey Geiger was nothing if not spectacular. At the time, I was a regular watcher of ER, yet Patinkin was enough of a draw for me to tune in to the competition each week. But when he left the show, so did I. When he showed up a few years later, I was lucky enough to have a Showtime subscription and was able to watch him in Dead Like Me. He was also the reason I tuned in to Criminal Minds. I’m sick of police procedural shows, no matter what type of “original” slant they try and take. I now still watch the show for Matthew Gray Gubler’s portrayal of Dr. Spencer Reid, but the show hasn’t been as good since Patinkin left.

While he doesn’t have that long of a resume at the moment, Joel McHale is a new addition to my must-watch list. He won me over on The Soup, and he took that sarcastic wit of his that he uses and turns it into acting gold on what may arguably be the best new sitcom of this year, Community. I know he had a bit part in the Matt Damon helmed The Informant, but I haven’t seen it yet. It is on my list, though.

Hmm, I guess that’s it. Most of my must-watch actors have in some way been touched by the magical hand of Joss Whedon. He takes care of his actors (just look at how many have been on two or more of his shows), so I guess I just feel it’s my responsibility to support them, too. Of course, it helps that they’re good actors, too.

Community

Well, it looks like this blog has now become pretty much just a place for me to post videos...and I'm okay with that.

With Scrubs ending next week (I actually think it could go at least another year with the new doctors), Better Off Ted probably not returning (I never have high hopes for shows I like), and Glee airing on Fox (not the best track record with intelligent comedies), I feel the need to plug future shows which look extremely promising and showcase actors I like.

Let's take a look at Community:

It's been said that community college is a "halfway school" for losers, a self esteem workshop for newly divorced housewives, and a place where old people go to keep their minds active as they circle the drain of eternity. Well, at Greendale Community College...that's all true. Community focuses on a band of misfits, at the center of which is a fast-talkin' lawyer whose degree has been revoked (Joel McHale, The Soup). They form a study group and, in "Breakfast Club" fashion, end up learning a lot more about themselves than they do about their course work.

From Emmy Award-winning directors Joe and Anthony Russo (Arrested Development) comes a smart comedy about higher education...and lower expectations. NBC

Directors of Arrested Development? Awesome. I watch The Soup every week and love it. Other actors include John Oliver, one of the funniest guys on The Daily Show, and Chevy Chase, who might actually be funny again.

Take a look at the promo and keep an eye out for this show.
