What You Should Have Watched #15

Well, I wouldn’t necessarily say it’s a strange addiction, but I do tend to go through withdrawal if I don’t watch TV regularly.

To give you an idea of how much TV I WANT to watch versus how much I’m ABLE to watch, check this out: according to my DVR, I have 67 series scheduled to record throughout the year. Of those, 11 are for my kids, but I’ll watch probably half of those (Phineas and Ferb, Ultimate Spider-Man, etc.). Currently, my DVR is 51% full with 95 recordings. Of those 95 recordings, 45 of them belong to my kids. Whereas I delete my shows after I’m done watching them, my kids like to watch their stuff over and over and over, so I keep it up there until I need more space. I haven’t had to delete any of their recordings since switching from Comcast service to AT&T U-Verse.

I enjoy almost every type of show except for most reality shows. I say most because one of my favorite shows right now is Drinking Made Easy on HDNet. I also enjoy sitcoms (Community, New Girl, Happy Endings, etc.), cop dramas…with a twist (Castle, Psych, White Collar, etc.), horror (Walking Dead, Supernatural), and even period pieces and fantasy shows (Boardwalk Empire, Spartacus, Game of Thrones).

There are some actors I’ll follow to anything they do. Nathan Fillion, Adam Baldwin, and just about anybody who has ever worked with Joss Whedon (although I gave up on Ringer halfway through the first episode). Peter Dinklage won me over with Death at a Funeral (the original) and Threshold. Also, I loves me some pretty ladies.

There are also a few web series that I enjoy. Right now I’ve got a pretty big crush on Felicia Day, and I’m thoroughly enjoying The Guild and The Flog, and I’ll be checking out the shows on “Geek and Sundry” as they appear. I also watch Epic Meal Time every week. One of these days…ONE OF THESE DAYS…I’m going to make one of their dishes.

If you couldn’t tell, I love my DVR. After putting the kids to bed each night and cleaning up from dinner and getting stuff ready for the next day, I only get about an hour or so to watch TV before I fall asleep. I like to watch the sitcoms first; I feel like I accomplish more if I watch three shows instead of just one. Then I’ll move on to the one-hour dramas, focusing on the must-sees: Castle, Fringe, Game of Thrones. Some stuff, no matter how awesome it is, can wait until the entire season has finished. That’s what I did with Justified, Southland, and Alcatraz this season.

As much as I love watching TV, I’m seriously considering doing something drastic. Things at work are getting a bit uncertain, so I’m thinking of cancelling my U-Verse subscription. I’d keep my Internet, I’m not totally crazy, but there are enough options out there that this wouldn’t affect me TOO much. I’ve got a Netflix account, and I’ve got a Wii in the living room and an X-Box in my bedroom (my bedroom TV has a Netflix app, so I’ve got a back-up if something happens to the X-Box), so there’s an option. The downside to that is that there’s a pretty decent delay between the time a season wraps to when it’s available to stream. With my viewing habits of a couple of shows this season, though, I’m apparently becoming a bit more comfortable with that. This would be how I catch my premium cable shows. I’d just have to make sure to stay away from spoilers. I’d also end up getting a Hulu+ subscription, something that can also be streamed through the Wii and X-Box. I had it when it was first available on the X-Box, but it really didn’t offer enough to keep me with it past the free trial. If I don’t have a cable subscription, this is how I’d catch my major network shows. Should I do this, I’d also consider an Amazon Prime account. I’d be able to use it on my X-Box, but not the Wii in the living room.

One thing you should expect from this blog is up-to-the-minute TV news. I might share awesome happenings (like whenever an announcement about the new season of Arrested Development is made), but chances are you’ll be able to find it earlier at an actual entertainment news blog. If you’d like a recommendation, I check Warming Glow daily. It’s got a very sarcastic tone to it, but the writers really care about good television. It’s the first blog I check each day.

As this ends, I just realized that I haven’t given you a taste of what I watch. Here’s a bit of a sampling: Anything by Joss Whedon, anything by Aaron Sorkin, Game of Thrones, Californication, Shameless, Family Guy, How I Met Your Mother, Castle, Psych, White Collar, Mad Men, Community, 30 Rock, Parks and Recreation, The Office, Modern Family, Don’t Trust the Bitch in Apt. 23, Happy Endings, Cougar Town, Person of Interest, Justified, Sons of Anarchy, Louie, Archer, It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia, Drinking Made Easy, Spartacus, Magic Town.

That’s certainly not everything I watch, but it’s a huge chunk of it.

Snow Day Video Constitutional

More Old Spice commercials with Terry Crews can only be a good thing. These run during some of my kids' shows on Cartoon Network, so now they'll randomly bust out with "Pa pa pa pa pa pa POWER!" My kids are awesome.

I'm not much of a Lego guy, and I've never taken an interest in any Lego stop motion animation films, but I can respect hard work and an awesome video when I see it. Also, Captain America kills Nazis. Church.

This supercut of TV shows referencing other TV shows is almost perfect. The each clip flows into the just-referenced show, and the way the ending comes back around to the beginning...mwah! (I just did that thing you do when you put your fingers up to your mouth and then make that kissy sound...you know, forget it...it's a visual thing) INTERNET!

This might have been my favorite commercial from the Superbowl. Also, I really used to like Old Milwaukee, but I haven't had it in a while.

This is just a fun video. It's a bunch of TV and movie clips edited together to Flo Rida's "Club Can't Handle Me." Major props for all the Supernatural and various geeky inclusions.

I loved the first three Jason Bourne movies so much that I went out and bought the books. After reading the books, I was sorely disappointed in the movies. The movies are only loosely based on the books and only share a basic plot and some character names. That said, this movie looks good. Jeremy Renner is a good actor, and I'll watch almost anything with Ed Norton in it.

Epic Meal Pies? Mmmmm, pie. Pies are good, but this looks like the laziest episode they've done yet.

Pre-Superbowl Video Constitutional

Uh oh, new funny comic alert. This guy's name is John Mulaney, and he looks like an actor I've seen before but can't quite place. His credits on IMDB confirm that he's not that guy, so now I want to know who the other guy is so I can be less confused. Anyway, this John guy is funny.

I feel I HAVE to post this. It's Ron Swanson and Tammy #2 (real-life couple Megan Mullally and Nick Offerman) singing a song about why a paleontologist and a creationist can't be together. It's clever, but I really don't think it's all that funny. I do appreciate any attempt to see Nick Offerman more.

I should have expected something twisted from Jon Lajoie (The League's Taco), but I wasn't expecting this. I laughed. I'm not proud of it, but I laughed.

New Foo Fighters video for "These Days." It's concert compilation video, but that doesn't mean it isn't awesome.

You know, this isn't a bad looking sloppy joe from the Epic Meal Time guys. I do enjoy lots things combined to make a new thing.

Despite Twilight, I actually do like some Vampire stuff. Buffy, Angel, True Blood. But this commercial for the Audi S7 with LED headlights is pretty damn clever.

God Bless America looks like a darkly humorous movie, but it seems a little masturbatory to me, like Bobcat Goldthwait just gave us a list of all the people he really wants to kill but can't.

A supercut of birds being flipped!

Here's the trailer for the second half of the current season of The Walking Dead. It has zombies.

I am SOOOO looking forward to the new season of Game of Thrones. It's the only reason I pay for HBO.

Kristen Bell is adorable and awesome and most of the reason why I'm watching "House of Lies," and I want to drug Dax Shepard and sell him into white slavery overseas. This should be the reaction everyone has when finally getting the thing they've always wanted.

Why I Love the Internet: Reason #94 - I don't have to watch the Superbowl to see all the awesome commercials. Now, somebody go put one of those couches in my house. The, um, the girl one.

Eastbound and Down comes back this month. That is all you need to know.

Donald Glover's "Save Community" PSA.

Despite Jay Leno coming in at the end, this is probably my favorite Superbowl commercial.

Teeth-Pulling Video Constitutional

Misha Collins was on The Soup, and I'm not totally sure what he was plugging. He was in a bit with some Spartacus actors (wasn't Lucy Lawless' character killed?), and Joel said he was from Supernatural, which was plugged. Is Misha coming back soon? I hope so. Also, Joel butchered the pronunciation of Castiel (which isn't shown in the clip, but Misha comes back for a bit and kicks the crap out of Joel.

Oh wait! Here it is!

I don't like American Idol, and I've even stopped watching the train-wreck auditions, but this clip made the rounds, and yeah, I would totally support this guy all the way through.

Meat balls with candy centers? No thanks, Epic Meal Time. The sausage chili banana split doesn't look all that bad, though.

I've seen the first season of Mad Men, but not the rest. I've been meaning to, and I'm going to work like hell to get caught up before the new season starts. Maybe then I'll appreciate this a little more.

Just like mash-ups, I'm a sucker for well-produced supercuts. Remember that scene from "When Harry Met Sally"? Yeah, you know the one. Here's a great supercut that expands on it.

The Walking Dead meets the Growing Pains opening theme. The day is done, my friend. You won't find anything better than this today.

Paul Rudd answers the age-old question: why do dudes like boobs?

Ask a Grown Man With Paul Rudd from Rookie on Vimeo.

If AMC is smart, they'll link to this Breaking Bad video for months leading up to the premiere of the final season. This is amazing. Acording to the description, it's clips of the show set to an Ennio Morricone remix from "The Good, the Bad and the Ugly."

This is kind of funny, but the real draw to this is Joel McHale's hair. Points removed for not being embeddable.

Recognition Video Constitutional

I love quality mash-ups, and here's one from MadMix Mustang. Queen + The Beatles = Fat Bottomed Girls Come Together.

Epic Meal Time's candy recipes always make me feel a little sick after watching them. Regardless, it's still an entertaining video every week.

Is it wrong to actually want to vote for the joke candidate?

I got into Breaking Bad between the latest season and the one previous, but I absolutely fell in love with it. This supercut of various POV scenes is mesmerizing.

You know, this supercut of Brad Pitt eating in movies isn't BAD, but it's not all that great, either. It's a bit misleading. The creator of the supercut wants us to believe Pitt eats a lot in movies, but the majority of this is clips from the Ocean's movies and a few from Meet Joe Black. In the first, that's just what his character does. It's like the brothers with their constant bickering or Don Cheadle trying to be British. And the stuff from Meet Joe Black? It's Death trying new things, so of course he's going to be trying different foods. Meh.

Mike should totally have been awarded the $800 back during the break. Totally correct answer.

I DVRed the Golden Globes so I could fast forward through the crap and just watch Ricky Gervais and the acceptance speeches from actors I liked and for shows I love. Turns out, nope, I recored the Red Carpet pre-show instead. Dammit. Well, here's Gervais' opening monologue.

This video of inappropriate wooing during Saved by the Bell clips needs to be longer. The funny is just too short.

When the trailer for "John Dies at the End" started, I was thinking that it looked like a creepy little flick somewhere along the lines of Frailty. Then it just got weird.

Raise your hand if you asked for a video of dogs barking the Star Wars theme. No? Nobody? Well, I'm glad somebody decided to do this, 'cause it's awesome.

I would have listened to more of Will Smith's solo stuff if it were more like this. As it stands, he needs Jazzy Jeff.

I can't see Tom Lenk as anything other than Andrew from Buffy the Vampire Slayer, and that kind of makes this a little bit funnier, because really, it isn't all that funny.

Hello Caller - watch more funny videos

So how about a Funny or Die video worth watching? Rachel Bilson in shorty shorts rapping about her CW show "Hart of Dixie." I don't watch the show, but Bilson is cute as hell.

Joel McHale was on Sesame Street. That's all you need to know.

Snow Day Video Constitutional

Thanks, Epic Meal Time, for actually making something rather than just throwing shit together in a pot. Also, SHOTS IN A SPIDER-MAN SHOOTER!!! Also also, I forgot a few other videos. I've been busy. Side note, I bet the shits these guys take are epic in and of themselves.

Eastbound and Down is coming back! Kenny Fucking Powers!

David Cross is awesome. I keep meaning to watch The Increasingly Poor Decisions of Todd Margaret, but I haven't seen past the first episode. Here he is on Conan setting up a clip from the current season.

In case you weren't aware or it just slipped your mind...GET IN THE CORNER! TIME OUT FOR YOU! Justified comes back next week. Me am have happies.

Here's your Foo Fighters video of the week. It's a live version of Arlandria from the iTunes festival last year in London. "And when you said I couldn't give you enough, I started giving you up."

Out of all the Shit People Say videos, Shit Nobody Says might be my favorite.

This guy was infected by the music. Or maybe the flu. Quite possibly too many chalupas. Either way, he's dedicated.

This Lion King/Dark Knight Rises mash-up works surprisingly well.

I do believe I must see the new Wes Anderson movie. Would you like to see it, too?

Friends with Kids looks like a delightful, safe little movie that I'll thoroughly enjoy when it's available for streaming on Netflix...or when I have a free Redbox rental.

I now want to see all of the movies referenced in this noggin 'sploding super cut.

Unexplained Vomiting Video Constitutional

I loved the first Men in Black movie, but I barely remember the second. This third installment looks pretty darn good, especially with Josh Brolin as a young K. I think I might need to rewatch the second one, just to see if Johnny Knoxville is the reason I blocked the movie.

Battleship is kind of confusing to me. I dislike the concept of a major action movie being made about this rinky-dink game. The result, at least after viewing this preview, looks like a Transformer rip-off, and this is only reinforced by the studio using their past success with the toy franchise to promote the movie. But I like big, summer, popcorn action flicks. A movie doesn't necessarily need a strong story to be enjoyable...just ask Live Free or Die Hard. Plus, we've got Peter Berg as director, and he's bringing along two of his Friday Night Lights actors, as well as Liam Neeson. Oh, decisions decisions.

Five dollars to legally download Louis C.K.'s latest stand-up special? To keep and view whenever you want? Why WOULDN'T you do it? Here are outtakes from the special.

I don't get these Taiwanese animated recreations, but this one involves Louis and his AMA on Reddit, so of course I'm going to post it on here.

And here's a feature on him from Nightline.

video platformvideo managementvideo solutionsvideo player

Since the announcement of Community's hiatus, Joel McHale has brought his co-stars onto his other show, The Soup, to promote a show that might not be returning and to passive-agressively attack NBC with snark. Here's the latest attempt.

I saw this a couple of weeks ago but didn't want to watch it. It's not because I love Kristen Stewart and dislike the dissing of her acting range, because I thoroughly dislike her and the Twilight franchise. I was just burned out on the whole anti-Twilight stuff. Then a buddy (thanks, Josh!) sent it to me, so I watched it, and I laughed. So now YOU can laugh as Kristen Stewart explains Christmas.

Looks like I've missed some Epic Meal Time videos. Can't say that it bothers me all that much. I'm just about burned out on it. I'm not impressed when they just throw a bunch of shit together and eat it. I like when they get creative, like with the candy sushi. That looked awesome.

I don't watch Saturday Night Live anymore. The really funny parts always end up online, so I don't waste DVR space on it. I've almost always enjoyed the digital shorts, though, when they're done by the Lonely Island guys (and I assume any short that includes Andy Samburg is by them). This past week's episode (with host Katy Perry, who is my girlfriend. Russel Brand is just a smokescreen) had a funny one, and Matt Damon and Val Kilmer are great in it.

And Kristen Wiig and Bill Hader absolutely killed it on Weekend Update.

Game of Thrones comes back in April, and I've finally got an HBO subscription. With a 60-inch TV in my bedroom, it's like I'm in a movie theater while watching TV, and I can't wait for the epicness of Game of Thrones on this screen.

This video of a dog with congenital megaesophagus using a custom-made chair to eat is somewhat mindblowing. She's been trained to know that she needs the chair to eat properly, and she knows how to get in it and close herself into it. Wow. Just wow.

I can't tell if I actually like the two songs from Jay-Z and Kanye West's "No Church in the Wild" album I've heard, or if they're only awesome because of the videos (Otis has Aziz Ansari in it, and the video I saw of No Church in the Wild is made up of Game of Thrones clips). I think I'll see if the album is on Spotify so I can listen to the whole thing.

No Church in the Wild - Game of Thrones from mixmastermind on Vimeo.

I don't really understand why this video is so funny. This is how I fight. Am I fighting wrong?

You like Fox's New Girl, right? Sure you do. One of the reasons you like it is because of Schmidt's douche-tasticness. It's not a question, it's a fact. So this just popped up, and it's a dating video that Schmidt put together, and it's SOOOO Schmidty.

So the new G.I. Joe movie looks...watchable? It looks like all the people that nobody liked in the first movie were killed off (I WILL miss Sienna Miller and Rachel Nichols) and replaced with The Rock, Adrianne Palicki and Bruce Willis, and the team is on the run from their own government. Okay, I can get behind that. I honestly don't care if it's a superficial, popcorn movie as long as it's fun. These movies need to be fun. My fingers are crossed.

I'm pretty sure I've posted some videos before by Jon Lajoie, the guy who plays Taco on The League. I've never seen this one, so I thought I'd pass it on. I can't connect with the theme, though.

I was horribly disappointed with the season finale of Sons of Anarchy, so I'm looking forward to some Justified to cleanse my FX palate...then kick the palate's ass with awesomeness.

The story doesn't look all that great, and Nick Cage's Johnny Blaze looked extremely average, but the effects for the new Ghost Rider movie look incredible. I'd rent it (doesn't look theater worthy to me) just for those.

Also, in case you've forgotten: When I can remember to add this to the bottom of my posts, I’m going to whore myself out with an impassioned plea: click on the ads. PLEASE click on the ads. [Insert Witty Title] Video Constitutional

This was a neat little video that the cast and crew of Doctor Who put together after David Tennant left the show. Wow, man...just wow.

Here's the trailer for the latest Mission Impossible movie. Despite his personal craziness, I still dig Tom Cruise as an actor. Also, Simon Pegg is in it, so there you go. I'm still looking forward to Jeremy Renner as Hawkeye more than I am him taking over this franchise.

Joel McHale makes an audition tape for People Magazine's Sexiest Man Alive. Yeah, I'd vote for him.

This song goes out to the power-hungry IT guy at work who totally removed Spotify from my computer. I'm glad I spent all that time finding the 15,000 songs I wanted in my playlists. Thanks, jerk.

Every death from HBO's Game of Thrones? Awesome. Set to Guns 'n Roses' cover of "Knockin' on Heaven's Door?" Even better.

Game of Thrones Death Montage from Doctor Roboto on Vimeo.

I'm starting to throw up just about everything shared with me by a few friends. That means you'll probably getting some Hunger Games stuff. Thanks, Christy! FYI, I think I'm going to trim my beard like the one Wes Bentley's character is sporting.

The Foo Fighters with Joan Jett playing "Bad Reputation." I wish she would have been at the concert I went to instead of Lemmy.

I'm not a cat person, mainly because I'm allergic to them. But oh my God I would become a crazy cat lady and fill my house with these, allergies be damned.

I'm not a sports person either. I had never heard of Jerry Sandusky before the past couple of weeks, and I'm absolutely horrified at what he's alleged to have done. I say alleged because the guy hasn't been found guilty in a court of law, but in the court of me, yeah, dude's guilty. And listening to this interview with Bob Costas, wow, he doesn't help himself at all. I've also decided that Bob Costas has replaced Stephen Colbert as my favorite interviewer. He absolutely rips into Sandusky, but he does it so calmly and professionally that I can almost understand why Sandusky seemed so open about some of the things he talked about.

I don't have an iPhone, but now I feel very sorry for Siri.

I've missed a LOT of Epic Meal Time. Time to catch up!

Why not, JGL? Why not?

If this passes, my blog is finished. If you enjoy this blog or just about ANY entertainment-related blog, fight this.

Looks like I'll be hitting Amazon up soon for some Childish Gambino mp3s. Psst, it's Donald Glover from Community. Don't tell anybody. It's a secret.

Well, this video totally convinced me to put in surveillance cameras in my house.

Slow Week Video Constitutional

New TV show on Starz starring Jeffrey Dean Morgan? Yup, now I'm REALLY happy I'm switching to U-Verse.

The best part of this video is the costume stuff at the beginning. I started watching these videos to actually WATCH them make food.

I am no better for having watched this, and neither will you be, but I just couldn't turn away.

This Back to the Future and Star Wars mash-up is wonderfully done.

Action movies would be a lot less fun if the good guy had a sonic screwdriver.

Busy Busy Busy Video Constitutional

It's been a hectic month so far, so posts are a bit later than usual, and maybe a bit shorter than usual. Apologies.

I was expecting a funny song when I clicked on this link, but I definitely wasn't expecting this. I was not disappointed.

I've been ignoring Parry Gripp for some time, and after viewing this video, I can't explain why.

I enjoyed his work on The West Wing and The New Adventures of Old Christine, and I'm gaining more respect for Clark Gregg as Agent coulson in The Avengers and the related movies.

Marvel One-Shot: The Consultant by DrMalo

Happy birthday, Epic Meal Time!

Chronicle comes out next year, and it's about a group of friends who get super powers, and then something bad happens. Not original, but it looks good. And the black kid was in Friday Night Lights, so there's that.

Yay! New Sherlock Holmes!

Pumpkin Carving Video Constitutional

If you can't tell, I'm giddy right now. Here's the first official trailer for Joss Whedon's Avengers movie. It's short on story and big on character shots, but I dno't care. It looks amazing, and I cant' wait to see this as soon as it's released. So far the only stumbling block for me has been the inclusion of Mark Ruffalo as Bruce Banner, but I think I can get past that.

The latest Epic Meal Time. Two words: squid shots.

I always come into these outtake videos expecting the best but being horribly disappointed because it's just people laughing at the camera with no set-up. Plain line flubs aren't funny to us...do something else! And the cast of Community DOES do something else!

I can't say that I'm the biggest fan of Minecraft. It's just not the sort of game I like. But I appreciate the thought, time and energy that people put into it. Now somebody has gone and put Weeping Angels from Doctor Who in it. It's kind of freaky.

I never got into Voltron as a kid. I was always a huge fan of the Transformers and G.I. Joe, and I gave He-Man a viewing every now and then. But I AM a fan of Psych (and super pissed that this season's premiere went completely under my radar), and this fan video stars Det. Lassiter himself, Timothy Omundson.

I like Brad Pitt, but this made me laugh...for about the first 30 seconds, then it just got old. But I do remember seeing this in the theater and being taken totally by surprise by this scene.

I'm taking all three of the kids to The Muppets. I don't care how stressful it'll be, they'll love what they sit still long enough to watch.

I highly doubt I'll actually see this in the theater, but I'll probably Redbox the new American Pie movie when it's available.

But my experiment this weekend proved to me that I actually AM making a spot of cash whenever the ads are clicked. So I’m going to put this little disclaimer on the bottom of all my posts for the next month or so, and I hope you’ll take an extra 10 seconds after reading my blog to click on an ad. Thanks so much!

McNopoly Is Back Video Constitutional

With some new rumors about a new season of Arrested Development before a movie would come out, some people have started celebrating. And really, if a studio or network doesn't get behind this, they're a big chicken.

Arrested Development Chicken Dances - Watch MoreFunny Videos

A week full of new Epic Meal Time videos? All about french fries? Sure, why not.

I'm not the biggest fan of Ben Templesmith. I'm not all that into horror comics, and his sketchy, Bill Sienkiewicz style of art puts me off. After watching the fan film based on his four-issue "Welcome to Hoxford" series, though, I think I'm going to have to re-evaluate my views of his work. I think I may have to check out this series, and then see what else he has going on.

Welcome to Hoxford, the fan film from Julien Mokrani on Vimeo.

This is one of the best video bombs I've seen.

This video of a goat failing at being a goat made me laugh, maybe a little more than it should have.

Thank you, Monkey and Apple, for making a video that addresses the biggest problem with Emma Frost's costumes.

I'm really starting to like these Bad Lip Reading videos. They take aim at Michele Bachmann here.

This is one of the stupidest things I've ever seen, but at the same time it's incredibly cool.

I wasn't totally sold on this video until the end. They took it where I needed it to go.

This video gives us a reverse showing of River Song's (Melody Pond) appearances in the last few seasons of Doctor Who, which in turn put her appearances in chronological order. It was very well done and illustrates the forethought that goes into this show.

This is the best Star Wars re-edit I've seen since the Blu Ray footage and news was announced. Gangsta 3PO? Gangsta 3PO.

How? What? How?

Pizza Day Video Constitutional

"Little Debbie? Big slut." I've never liked smores. I like marshmallows, I like chocolate, and I like graham crackers...I just don't like them all together. THIS smore just looks nauseating.

Mac n cheese n brains (with bacon and extra cheese), deep fried brains, scrambled eggs and brains, candied brains, and brain Big Macs. Honestly, it doesn't sound terrible.

Okay, Juggalos. Sometimes you fascinate me, sometimes you disgust me, but despite your message of inclusion, I do not respect you. This video doesn't help your cause. I'm not going to embed it because of how NSFW it is, but I will provide a link because it IS a fascinating video.

http://vimeo.com/29589320

Drive looks like a good movie, but not good enough for me to see in theaters. I like Baby Goose (think about it), Hendricks and Cranston. I also like this video.

I like Supernatural's very simple opening, but if it had to have a typical music-backed opening credits, this would be perfect...assuming they could afford to use a Led Zeppelin song.

The only season of Mad Men I've seen so far is the first, so I actually recognize this scene. And I'm really curious as to what Facebook Timeline is going to look like. This is a pretty damn fine mash-up of the two.

WTF is this? Her lip synching is horrible!

I saw Bridesmaids last week and loved it. Here's a great bonus feature, the longest argument ever.

And then how about the movie's gag reel?

I shared a video from Bad Lip-Reading when they poked fun at a Michael Buble video. Here they are taking aim at Rick Perry, and it's kind of awesome.

How To Make Pickup and Hookup Lines by Jenna Marbles. I took notes.

This Conan video isn't laugh out loud funny, but it's cute and I chuckled a little. And Anne Hathaway is REALLY hot, so there's that.

I don't care all that much for Mark Wahlberg, but he appeared on Kimmel with a friend who ate two wasabi balls and drank three cups of tobasco sauce. I couldn't turn away from it. I don't eat spicy hot things, so I can't even imagine what this would have felt like.

Have you ever wanted to hear the Imperial March from Star Wars played by two floppy disc drives? No? Well, screw you, here it is anyways.

I'm pretty sure I posted the first Cardboard Warfare a while back, so here's the second installment. It's a lot longer but no less impressive. Also, if you've ever wanted to know what Band of Brothers wold have been like with cardboard weapons, this'll give you a good idea.

Probably for the rest of the month I’m going to whore myself out with an impassioned plea: click on the ads. PLEASE click on the ads. I don’t care if you exit it out of it immediately or actually look around. This isn’t some professional blog where I believe in the products I’m shilling. These are automatic ads placed by Google.

Better Late Than Never Video Constitutional

I don't like Oprah, but I love this video.

Tom Cruise gets a letter from his Australian cousin. He's so emotional!

With the changes to the upcoming Star Wars Blu-Ray releases announced, it's fun to go back and look at some classic Star Wars clips.

George Carlin was never one of my favorite comedians, but Louis C.K. is. Here's Louis's tribute to Carlin.

I will pigeon fight you!

It's almost time for new TV shows! Here's a pretty good edit of Community that turns awesomeness into a song.

This Epic Meal Time video seems kind of lazy. It's just a bunch of hot dogs and bacon, with some Jack Daniels mixed with some ketchup. Forgive me, but I usually expect some actual cooking to be done.

I may have to put EMT in time-out for using a Limp Bizkit reference in this video. Or maybe I need to go in time-out because I got the reference. Also, I really want to try an In and Out burger. Okay, the burger bullets were pretty awesome, as was the guy who snorted the burgers. Nice.

I felt bad for laughing at this, but that didn't stop me from laughing more.

I don't like Charlie Sheen, and I will NOT watch his roast, but I'm in the middle of watching the West Wing, so I'm on a bit of a Martin Sheen kick. This is a great commercial all around.

Here's an important PSA about driving. I think it's an important lesson to us all.

I've never seen Slapshot, but I know I like it more than any of the Twilight movies. Here's a mash-up of the two, and yeah, it's worth it.

Text about the video that the writer thinks is funny, but the readers have heard it all before.

George C. Scott doesn't like Lucas's new changes to the Star Wars Blu-Ray releases either.

I imagine all Twilight fans are exactly like this.

I'm currently watching The West Wing. I've seen the first four seasons, but I got sidetracked and never watched the rest. I'm now rewatching what I've already seen (since I saw it YEARS ago) so I can finish the season, but I don't think I'll ever see a scene in the show as good as when President Bartlett calls the Butterball hotline. Awesome.

Why did nobody tell me that Idris Elba was in a BBC show? I'm disappointed in ALL of you.

Labor Day Weekend Video Constitutional

This video just makes me happy. It's a super-cut of various dance segments from The Colbert Report. My favorite part will always be when he's dancing behind Barney Frank.

Um, ok, so the Foo Fighters have a new North American tour starting up, and they made a video to promote it. I couldn't turn away. I tried, but I just couldn't. When the music started I was hoping they were covering "Body Language" by Queen, but it's just them. ALL of them.

And here's the song that plays during the beginning of the video.

Epic Chicken Burger Combo from Epic Meal Time. Even the buns have bacon in them!

The new season of TV shows is almost heeeeeeeeeeeere!!!!! Here's a look at John Goodman on Community. Can't wait!

So Ryan Reynolds and an angry Willem Dafoe are going to make me watch a Julia Roberts movie? Damn you. Damn the both of you.

I was watching a video about Doc Brown (Christopher Lloyd from Back to the Future) doing a commercial for an Argentinian electronics store, and this was one of the suggested videos to watch. It's Joseph Gordon Levitt singing Nirvana's Lithium. I didn't know he was in a band. It definately doesn't stand up to the original, but I'd listen to some more of his music.

And then there were Jedi kittens.

Crap, looks like I'll be checking out MORE of Final Cut King's videos after that Jedi Kitten one and this Nerf War one.

It's the live-action Captain Planet that nobody asked for but everybody wanted.

This is a very simple-looking but awesome music video for the song "The Understanding" by Jones Street Station. I've never heard of these guys before, but a friend sent me the video because it's got Dani Pudi in it, who I find incredibly entertaining in Community. I would probably like the song if I heard it by itself, but I know I'm enjoying a whole lot more because of the video.

She's on my list. She's so on my list.

New Phone Video Constitutional!!!!

Your obligatory Epic Meal Time post. I loves me some breakfast for dinner.

The opening credits for The Office in the style of the opening credits for Dallas. They should have used this when doing the garage sale episode last season.

Jonah Hill's new movie The Sitter seems quite funny. Kind of looks like Adventures in Babysitting, except a lot dirtier. Also, since I'm such a kind a giving soul, turn your speakers down when the preview starts, or make sure you're not at work...like I was.

I wouldn't watch this version of Star Wars, but I'd watch this video one more time. A girl who has never seen the original trilogy tries to explain what happened.

I did not expect this to go where it went.

I would play this game.

I will watch Paul Rudd in anything, especially a Funny or Die video.

Every time Kanye West opens his mouth, I want to punch it. I dig some of his music, though. And I like Jay-Z a lot more. So I'm not totally against this new collaboration, and I kind of like the song...that is until the end when Kanye just starts screaming in a little girl voice.

If you can get past the EXTREME!!!! douchiness of the two performers (one moreso than the other), this is some pretty awesome music. Cello duets of pop/rock songs. I think "Smells Like Teen Spirit" really works on the cello.

I'm not a huge magic fan, but I appreciate a good trick...sorry, ILLUSION, because we all know what tricks are. Here are a couple that fool even the great Penn and Teller.

With all the shit I've been through the past two years, it makes me feel very happy that I still believe in love. This video of this surprise wedding is awesome and touching and it gives me faith that love does exist (despite what Bleu sings), and y'know, I'm SOOO looking forward to finding it again.

And then there's this proposal from Chicago Comic Con this year. You can't hear the proposal unless you turn your speakers up all the way, but that doesn't matter. You need to watch it for the end. Fucking epic.

Well, it had to happen. Epic Meal Time finally did a bad video. Looks like they just kind of phoned this one in. I like them because they create these awesome (one might say epic, even) meals, but that was not the case this time.

The 25 Greatest Unscripted Scenes in Film. Makes me want to go back and watch The Dark Knight again.

I knew cats were evil!!!

"Girls like bacon, and if they don't, they're probably racist." Tru dat. And after the poor showing of the meat shield, this video redeems the Epic Meal Time boys.

Holey moley, it's Ok Go and the Muppets. This is awesome.

My uncle shared this video with me and labeled it the ultimate in karaoke. I will admit, this is clever as hell.

Why have I not watched any of the non-album tracks from The Lonely Island?

I kind of have to see Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance because I really like Idris Elba, but was a sequel really necessary? Or wanted? I will say this, the effects look pretty damn awesome.

Here's a super-cut song made up of movie lines that rhyme. The amount of time it must have taken to edit this was, well, I won't say it was worth it. Let's just hope the guy wasn't supposed to be doing something more important.

'Movie Line Rhymes' by Jordan Laws from ScreenWerks on Vimeo.

The Portal video game series has never interested me, but this video is pretty awesome.

There are so many things RIGHT with this clip of Extras featuring Patrick Stewart.

This verbal smack-down of Chris Brown was great.

I was so disappointed when I heard that Locke & Key was not picked up. I know a pilot was finished, and I know it was screened at SDCC this year. I hope that it somehow becomes available to the public. Until then, here's the trailer for what we can't watch.

Locke and Key Trailer 2:17 from some guy on Vimeo.

This new show from Ricky Gervais starring Warwick Davis looks great. I'm thinking more Extras than The Office. Now I want to rewatch Extras.
