Melancholy Video Constitutional

Vodka mashed potatoes? Sure, why not? And that stroganoff looked incredible. I seriously need to try one of these recipes sometime.

Here's the teaser for "The Dark Knight Rises," the lastest Batman flick. It's mostly made up of footage from the previous two movies, but there's some new stuff with Gordon, and we get to see a little bit of Bane. I'm embedding it here, and I'm providing a link to the HD version, which is almost infinitely more awesome. Also, as I'm writing this I'm listening to the all-Prince soundtrack from the first Tim Burton Batman movie. Coincidence? Sure, why not.

Here's a teaser for season 2 of "The Walking Dead." It's not groundbreaking, nor does it give any hint as to what to expect this season (except for zombie killin', but that's to be expected). It's cool, though.

Want to see the latest Harry Potter movie but need to get caught up? Here are cats!

I don't know what this is, but I think I like it.

I like how the people in Lost can poke fun at themselves. And we finally get the smoke monster's name!

Foo Fighters garage tour! I wish I could have done this.

Let's toss up some videos from this years San Diego Comic Con. First up is the Supernatural panel. And while we're at it, let's throw in a promo for Season 7.

The crossover that nobody asked for but everybody wanted! Epic Meal Time at ComiCon!

Here's the Castle panel.

Chuck! Yvonne Strahovski is so, so pretty.

Game of Thrones. I'm reading the book now, and it's helping me with the names I couldn't remember during the show. Also, I think that Nikolaj Coster-Waldau could be Dennis Leary's twin, and Emilia Clarke looks much better as a brunette.

Action Figure Therapy. Awesome. That's it. Just awesome.

I don't even know how to preface this one. It's hilarious, but dirty, but it doesn't show anything nasty, but yet it's pretty damn dirty. But funny.

The Muppets of Sesame Street gettin' down with the Beastie Boys.

Sesame Street breaks it down from Wonderful Creative on Vimeo.

Looks like I missed some Epic Meal Time. I'm going through bacon withdrawal.

The Walking Dead season 2? Yes please!

And Dexter, too? Sure! Why not!

I have quite a few friends who are teachers. My ex-wife used to be a teacher. My sister is a teacher. My mom used to be a teacher. I had SOOOOOO many good teachers during my time as a student. I believe that teachers are a vastly underappreciated group of professionals. I also like Matt Damon, and here he is standing up for teachers. Although, the Good Will Hunting clip spliced into this is a bit jarring.

Drive looks like a pretty good action movie, with the surprisingly cast Ryan Gossling as the lead. I also like the last half of the trailer, where they show a bunch of action with a soft instrumental piece behind it. Classy.

Backed-Up Constitutional

I hadn't seen the Samwell "What What" video until Tosh.0 this past season, and as much as I mean to, I've never seen Mad Men. Having said that, I think this video is awesome.

And let's follow that with a nice little Mad Men/Pulp Fiction mash-up, again with some Don Draper "what?"s.

I like Justin Timberlake, and this looks pretty funny, but I saw a split second of a cast dance scene, so that has me worried. I don't like that.

And I REALLY like Natalie Portman, but I REALLY hate Ashton Kutcher. Oh, decisions decisions.

Jason Sudeikis is one of the best things about Saturday Night Live (is he even still on it? I don't watch it anymore.). He was great on 30 Rock, and he had a recent great guest shot on It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia. Here he is with Owen Wilson in a new movie that I can kinda get behind.

My son is going to be SOOOOO excited when I tell him about the sequel to Cars. Is it just me, or does it look like an extended version of a "'Mater's Tall Tales" short? Those are pretty awesome, but I think their brevity lends a bit to the awesomeness.

Say what you want about the man, Alec Baldwin is a great and funny actor.

I'm not expecting the Green Lantern movie to be as awesome as Christopher Nolan's Batman movies, but I want it to be good. Really good. And this trailer LOOKS good. The graphics and characters and everything LOOK good. But oh my God the dialogue is the most hackneyed, gag-inducing crap that I've heard. Because I'm currently a pretty big GL fan and I'm a HUGE Ryan Reynolds fan, this needs to be good. But I hope there's more to the rest of the movie than the "gems" chosen for this trailer. Oh, and Blake Lively is hot.

I <3 this movie so hard right now.
Cowboys & Aliens. Sounds ridiculous, looks awesome.

Here's the trailer for The Mechanic, a remake of a 1973 Charles Bronson film. It's stars Jason Statham, who I'm a fan of.

I had an extremely shitty day on Thursday, and this was the pick-me-up I needed.

In honor of the new Harry Potter movie, here's Hogwarts Hangover.

In honor of the season premiere of Supernatural, here's a great mash-up video featuring clips of the show with advertising audio. And an oldie but goodie, Supernatural (In My Pants).

I like each Ok Go CD a bit less than the previous, but the videos are still awesome. And this one has doggies!

How can you NOT watch DJ Kitty without smiling?

New trailer for the first part of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. Looks like I've got to rewatch all the movies before November. I'll probably reread all the books after the last movie.

Holy shit! Don't eat a red gummy bear and then drink some potassim chlorate (I'm assuming that's the main ingredient in banana juice?).

Oh, how I really really really wish this would have been the opening to Iron Man 2. I was SOOOO disappointed when I didn't see the Pepper-kissing-the-helmet scene that played in almost all the trailers. I guess I kind of get that Favreau wouldn't want to open the movie with a hungover Stark, y'know, with a bunch of kids watching it, but that logic gets shot down once Stark and Rhodey slug it out while Tony is smashed.

If only they would have made fun of Bill saying "Sookie" in his horrible accent. It's still better than Katy Perry.

Pre-Independence Day Video Dump

Oh my goodness. I can't afford to see all the movie I want to see in the theater. The new Harry Potter movie, though, will get my money. Both parts of the finale.

The drummer for Ok Go vs. Animal from the Muppets in a staring contest.

And I guess this is the latest Ok Go video. Probably my least favorite out of all their videos, 'cause they've had awesome videos. It doesn't help that the song kind of sucks. I've not liked their latest CD much at all.

I'm intrigued by this movie about the founder of Facebook.

Ever wanted an AT-AT Walker as a pet? Sure you have.

And here's Iron Baby by the same guy.

This, my friends, is why Louis C.K. is one of my favorite stand-up comedians.
