Recognition Video Constitutional

I love quality mash-ups, and here's one from MadMix Mustang. Queen + The Beatles = Fat Bottomed Girls Come Together.

Epic Meal Time's candy recipes always make me feel a little sick after watching them. Regardless, it's still an entertaining video every week.

Is it wrong to actually want to vote for the joke candidate?

I got into Breaking Bad between the latest season and the one previous, but I absolutely fell in love with it. This supercut of various POV scenes is mesmerizing.

You know, this supercut of Brad Pitt eating in movies isn't BAD, but it's not all that great, either. It's a bit misleading. The creator of the supercut wants us to believe Pitt eats a lot in movies, but the majority of this is clips from the Ocean's movies and a few from Meet Joe Black. In the first, that's just what his character does. It's like the brothers with their constant bickering or Don Cheadle trying to be British. And the stuff from Meet Joe Black? It's Death trying new things, so of course he's going to be trying different foods. Meh.

Mike should totally have been awarded the $800 back during the break. Totally correct answer.

I DVRed the Golden Globes so I could fast forward through the crap and just watch Ricky Gervais and the acceptance speeches from actors I liked and for shows I love. Turns out, nope, I recored the Red Carpet pre-show instead. Dammit. Well, here's Gervais' opening monologue.

This video of inappropriate wooing during Saved by the Bell clips needs to be longer. The funny is just too short.

When the trailer for "John Dies at the End" started, I was thinking that it looked like a creepy little flick somewhere along the lines of Frailty. Then it just got weird.

Raise your hand if you asked for a video of dogs barking the Star Wars theme. No? Nobody? Well, I'm glad somebody decided to do this, 'cause it's awesome.

I would have listened to more of Will Smith's solo stuff if it were more like this. As it stands, he needs Jazzy Jeff.

I can't see Tom Lenk as anything other than Andrew from Buffy the Vampire Slayer, and that kind of makes this a little bit funnier, because really, it isn't all that funny.

Hello Caller - watch more funny videos

So how about a Funny or Die video worth watching? Rachel Bilson in shorty shorts rapping about her CW show "Hart of Dixie." I don't watch the show, but Bilson is cute as hell.

Joel McHale was on Sesame Street. That's all you need to know.

Also, in case you've forgotten: When I can remember to add this to the bottom of my posts, I’m going to whore myself out with an impassioned plea: click on the ads. PLEASE click on the ads. I don’t care if you exit out of it immediately or actually look around. This isn’t some professional blog where I believe in the products I’m shilling. These are automatic ads placed by Google. But when you click ads, I get a little bit of money, and as a single father of three, every penny from every source helps...especially with Christmas bills here and an unsure/shaky work situation. So I’m going to keep this tiny bit of begging at the bottom of my posts, and I hope you’ll take an extra 10 seconds after reading my blog to click on an ad. The only thing it costs you is time. :) Thanks so much!

Labor Day Weekend Video Constitutional

This video just makes me happy. It's a super-cut of various dance segments from The Colbert Report. My favorite part will always be when he's dancing behind Barney Frank.

Um, ok, so the Foo Fighters have a new North American tour starting up, and they made a video to promote it. I couldn't turn away. I tried, but I just couldn't. When the music started I was hoping they were covering "Body Language" by Queen, but it's just them. ALL of them.

And here's the song that plays during the beginning of the video.

Epic Chicken Burger Combo from Epic Meal Time. Even the buns have bacon in them!

The new season of TV shows is almost heeeeeeeeeeeere!!!!! Here's a look at John Goodman on Community. Can't wait!

So Ryan Reynolds and an angry Willem Dafoe are going to make me watch a Julia Roberts movie? Damn you. Damn the both of you.

I was watching a video about Doc Brown (Christopher Lloyd from Back to the Future) doing a commercial for an Argentinian electronics store, and this was one of the suggested videos to watch. It's Joseph Gordon Levitt singing Nirvana's Lithium. I didn't know he was in a band. It definately doesn't stand up to the original, but I'd listen to some more of his music.

And then there were Jedi kittens.

Crap, looks like I'll be checking out MORE of Final Cut King's videos after that Jedi Kitten one and this Nerf War one.

It's the live-action Captain Planet that nobody asked for but everybody wanted.

This is a very simple-looking but awesome music video for the song "The Understanding" by Jones Street Station. I've never heard of these guys before, but a friend sent me the video because it's got Dani Pudi in it, who I find incredibly entertaining in Community. I would probably like the song if I heard it by itself, but I know I'm enjoying a whole lot more because of the video.

She's on my list. She's so on my list.

Memorial Day Weekend Video Constitutional

Here's the teaser for the next season of True Blood.

The the live action Ambiguously Gay Duo sketch from this past weekends Saturday Night Live. It's not all that funny, but the cameos are fun to watch.

AHHHH!!! AHHHHHHH!!! DEMON!!!! IT'S A DEMON!!!!! BURN IT BEAT IT KILL IT DEAD!!!!

THIS is the Epic Meal Time episode that almost made me throw up at my desk. I'm totally fine with all the meat stuff, but I don't have a sweet tooth like I used to.

This should be a commercial. Parents like me would get one of these for their kids based on this clip alone.

In the past 33 years my parents have owned three beagles, so I have a bit of a soft spot in my heart for them. Here's a video of one who has learned how to catch a ball with his paws.

Can't say this is my favorite Epic Meal Time, but it's not bad.

Not as good as Dick in a Box, but I think I like 3-Way better than Motherlover.

I recently had a Parks and Recreation marathon and was pleased and surprised when Louis C.K. showed up. It really made me miss his show. But it's coming back next month! Yay!

New trailer for the new season of True Blood. I got a little giddy.

Okay, I was really prepared not to enjoy the latest installment of Between Two Ferns with Zach Galifianakis. It's wo actors who can be over-the-top, and I expected them to out over-the-top each other to the point of eye rolling. Didn't happen. The stuff with the food and John Hamm was briliant.

The Video Constitutional Is Back!!!

Most of these videos are old. Even though I've been away for a bit, I've still been doing a little collecting.

Fine. FINE! One more Charlie Sheen thing, then I'm done. THEN I'm done! Here's his cooking show.

And since I'm on Funny or Die, here's a video starring Maggie Lawson (Juliet from Psych) as Wonder Woman. Hot. SOOOOO hot.

You don't need to watch the entirety of this video. Maybe only 30 seconds. If you don't watch Archer, though, you won't get it.

Here's the trailer for Foo Fighters: Back and Forth. Looks like it's a full-length documentary about the band. I love this band. This is by far my favorite band. I very much want to see this.

Oh, and look, here's the video for "Rope." As far as Foo Fighter videos go, it's pretty meh. Just the guys singing and playing their instruments in a big box, sometimes in silhouette. I tend to enjoy the ones that have a hint of a story to them. I like it when the guys get creative.

Epic Meal Time Deleted Scenes #2. Burger outtakes!

It's a baby! Who's cussing! When my youngest says "truck" it sounds like he's saying "fuck." And let's all remember the fun I had while listening to my daughter tell me the name of her favorite Thomas the Tank Engine chum, Percy. She loves Percy.

Watch this video, and then think about the time it must have taken this guy to find all of these videos and blend them together to produce a pretty decent funk song. The second one is just beautiful.

When I first saw a trailer for "Your Highness," I thought it was awesome, and not just because of Natalie Portman's butt (which is awesome). It looked really funny. This trailer, less so. C'mon, no "Magic, mother fucker!"? That's just weak.

Video: Exclusive: 'Your Highness' Trailer (Mature Audiences)

Still not as excited about the Captain America movie as I am about Thor, but it doesn't look bad.

Looks like I might be introducing Parker to the Thundercats soon. This looks like something we'll both like.

I hope Game of Thrones gets onto Netflix quickly!

Just like I thought I was done with Charlie Sheen, I thought I was also done with Rebecca Black's "Friday," but then Stephen Colbert and Jimmy Fallon pulled me back in.

Love this Thor version of the Little Vader commercial that ran during the Superbowl.

Here's a commercial for a new AMC series. I'm getting a big Deadwood feel from it, and with AMC's track record, I'll probably like it.

This is all the Twilight I need.

Best Green Lantern trailer yet.

I realize that there are things that would probably benefit Supernatural by doing an animated version. There would be visuals and monsters and such that a live-action show just wouldn't be able to pull off. Why do you think we didn't actually see any dragons in the dragon episode of Supernatural this year? But this anime version...nope. Do. Not. Want.

Too...funny. Must...watch...again!

Jason Bateman and Jason Sudeikis are awesome, but I want to see this movie because of Charlie Day. He's great on It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, and he looks like he'll be great in this. And say what you want about her acting skills, Jennifer Aniston is hot. End of discussion.

Like Community? Like Troy? Here are some of his greatest lines, followed by a supercut of him crying.

Friday Constitutional

Here are a couple of Nashville Beer Fests that I'd like to go to this year:

http://www.beerknurd.com/images/display.php?id=1019

I'm going to try and post the Community end credit skits each week. Here's Betty White, Troy and Ahbed singing Toto's Africa.

Here is Stephen Colbert's testimony before Congress. Awe...some.

I'm not a fan of Westerns. I enjoyed Tombstone and thought Unforgiven was a good movie, but I generally steer clear. But I guess if you throw enough good actors at me, I'll think your shoot-'em-up looks decent enough, and I guess I think True Grit looks decent enough. Maybe even a little better than that.

I love mash-ups when they're done well. Here's a decent one that combines Ghostbusters with AC/DC's Thunderstruck (my favorite AC/DC song).

We're Back! Video Dump

I've never read the comic, but this movie looks all sorts of awesome. Scott Pilgrim vs. the World.

Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert join Conan O'Brien on stage for a dance-off...the Andy Richter shoots Stewart.

Gonna have to see Dinner for Shmucks. Yup, gonna have to see it.

I wasn't good at the video game, and I never saw the other movies because they looked horrible...but this is a pretty kick-ass trailer for a new Mortal Kombat movie.

Having an immortal dog might not be as awesome as you might think.

A boombox can change the world. You've gotta know your limits with a boombox.

I thought I had posted this already, but I couldn't find it, so here are...all?...of Terry Crews' Old Spice commercials. Pa-pa-pa-pa-pa-pa-POWER!!!

First trailer for The Voyage of the Dawn Treader, the next Narnia installment.

Best Scott Pilgrim trailer I've seen yet.

Despite Luke Wilson, you've got Giovanni Ribisi, James Caan, and I'm pretty sure I saw a brief glimpse of Kevin Pollack, three excellent reasons to watch any movie. Then you've got the added bonus of this being about the rise of Internet porn, and it becomes captivating.

Waterlogged Video Dump

Trailer for the Jonah Hex movie. Cast looks great, movie looks ho-hum.

I heard about Winter's Bone when it was at Sundance. Definitely not a feel-good film, but sounds pretty interesting.

I like Ok Go. I like the Colbert Report. And Stephen's interviews and subsequent performances with musical guests are always great. Here's "This Too Shall Pass" from Ok Go as seen last Friday on the Colbert Report.

I'm not the biggest Coheed and Cambria fan, but what I do like by them, I really like. This song sounds pretty good, and the video isn't half bad either. And for all you comic book fans, see if you can guess who shows up around the :57 mark.

"He knows the score, he gets the girls, and he kills the bad guys." This looks like the most awesome B-movie with a great mix of A- and B-list actors. I really want this movie to be insanely good.

Can't embed the movie, but I've got to share this. Galactic Empire State of Mind.

I love George Clooney. There. I said it. I even liked him in The Men Who Stare at Goats, even though it was a pretty horrible movie. Here's the trailer for his next gig.

Another Weekly Video Dump

Why not vote for this guy Conway School Board?

Lost Season 5 Bloopers. Eh, I've seen better.

Kevin Smith on the Twilight phenomenon. For those of you who have never heard of Kevin Smith, this will contain some harsh language.

Here's a new clip from Kick Ass. It's Nick Cage's character shooting his daughter. I do believe this movie will, in fact, kick ass.

The Clash of the Titans remake could be kind of awesome. But that's what trailers are supposed to make you think, so...?

Zach Galifianakis lip synching to Kanye West's "Can't Tell Me Nothing." I apologize that you have to listen to a Kanye song just to see an awesome Zach video.

Kevin Costner and Cary Elwes will always be Robin Hood to me, but here's the trailer to the new Russel Crowe Robin Hood movie.

Tosh.0 was renewed for a 25 episode second season. That's awesome news. Here's just a taste.

Although she's a gorgeous, gorgeous woman, I'm not that big a fan of Alicia Keys' music. But I've got to include this clip from her performance on the Colbert Report. She's performing "Empire State of Mind," and Colbert steps in for Jay-Z. 'Nuff said.

I love just about all the original programming on FX, and this new show starring Timothy Oliphant will hopefully be as awesome as The Shield, Sons of Anarchy, Dirt, and Nip/Tuck (at least the first few seasons).

Latest trailer for Alice in Wonderland. This looks spooky good.

Craig Robinson. Rob Corrdrey. Chevy Chase. John Cusack (meh). A time machine...in a hot tub.

TV Reviews for the Week of Nov. 23, 2008 Pt. 1

Jack Bauer is back! Yeah!!!!!! This is one of the most unrealistic and ridiculous shows that has been on TV in the last, what, 6 years? But damn, the action, the suspense, the backstabbing…it’s riveting. This was a very good teaser for the new season in January. It was very much a stand-alone story, where you didn’t have to know anything about Jack or his past. But it’s very good at making you want to come back in January to see how it ends up. What’s going to happen to Jack? What’s going to happen with the coup and who are the Americans that are funding it? Why did the outgoing President not consult with the President Elect since everything transpired within hours of her inauguration? These are the questions that’ll bring me back in January. These and the fact that Jack kicks much ass: lobbing dynamite, stabbing people, withstanding torture and red-hot machetes, and killing people with one leg.

So now Riley is from the future, too? Damn, John just can’t catch a break. I think having Cromartie as the mouthpiece for John Henry is a good idea. That’ll end up creeping people out.

Who knew transporting a bride to a wedding could be so hazardous? That part of the episode was good, but it seemed to be going through the motions. The meat of the show was actually what was going on back home. Bob and Kim are working together to see what’s going on with Kim’s employer. He’s now got Bob working for him, and he’s trying to get into Kim’s pants. Oh, and his last nanny just turned up dead. Hmm.

“I’m so excited right now that I’m sporting a yule log.”

I’m not much of a Christmas special kind of guy, but I’m very much a Stephen Colbert kind of guy, so this is a no-brainer for me. The one thing I’m not enjoying is the laugh track. I’m actually just into this for Stephen and his persona’s un-PC views. I can actually do without the guests (well, Jon Stewart can stay) and musical numbers. Okay, Willie Nelson as a wise man with the gift of pot was pretty funny, and the song was pretty damn good. And the Jon Stewart bit, and John Legend’s nutmeg. Maybe I dismissed the songs too quickly. I think I’m going to have to get the soundtrack for this. This version of Peace, Love and Understanding probably tops A Perfect Circle’s version as my favorite.

Yet another excellent Sheldon episode. I actually expected him to ruin Leonard’s relationship, but kudos to Sheldon. And I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, I’m glad they quickly dropped the Leonard/Penny thing. It’s actually probably better for the show that they went and got through it early on so it wouldn’t rear up and destroy the show during later seasons.

“You already broke my heart. Is it necessary for you to shoot it, too?”

Converse to the Leonard/Penny situation in Big Bang Theory, I really want Chuck and Sarah to end up together. You know what they say, “The family that spies together, stays together,” or something like that. I will miss seeing Jordana Brewster, though. I’m sure she’ll rear her gorgeous head again.

This was probably the funniest episode of the season so far. I just wish I had an opportunity to use the naked man. Hell, I guess if Lily can use it, so can I.

This season may actually surpass the first season in its greatness. Of course, it doesn’t take much to top the crap that they gave us last year. Every time there has been a double-cross or a new trick pulled out of a random hat, it’s made perfect sense. ALL the guys in the vault with Scilla (sp?) when it only looks like Michael is there. Agent Self showing his true colors. That lady turning out to be that guy’s daughter (yeah, so I don’t know EVERYONE’S name). Good acting, good stories, good twists…I’m looking forward to what is coming next for our heroes.

Good but average episode. Mohinder and his cocoon was disgusting. I’m interested in seeing how everyone gets their powers back, whether it’s natural or if it’s Mohinder.

Oh, that’s awesome. I always wondered how you set a swimming pool on fire. And who didn’t see the confrontation with the preacher coming (pun slightly intended)? I was surprised that they went and got the wedding finished this episode. It makes me wonder if there are any other episodes left, because they seemed to gloss over a lot of possible misadventures at the reception.

“I just got an erection.”

Normally I’d rail on a show using a clever device more than once within months of each other, especially when it’s the first season for the show. But they used the memory tank thingy differently this time with different results. Nice. And once again I’m floored by Walter and his social ignorance. As for the science, well, Eleventh Hour used the hallucinogenic frog trick earlier…but not near as well.

Andre 3000 is a good actor. Too bad we won’t get more of him against Aceveda. From the beginning of this episode I had this horrible thought of Shane killing his wife, killing his kid, then killing himself. His frame of mind, the choices he has left, I have no doubt that he would do it. As I type this I’m only an hour into the episode with 45 minutes left. I’d like to think I was wrong, but I don’t think it’s going to go that way. Shit. And it looks like I wasn’t wrong. Dammit. But I couldn’t see any other way out of it. After Vic told him he and Ronnie had immunity, it was all over. I just hope Vic doesn’t take care of the Ronnie situation by taking him out. I know Vic is the “hero” of this story, but I hope he doesn’t get off scott free. His family is gone, so that’s one thing, but Shane was right…he’s not the high and mighty family man that he claims to be. Oh holy crap Vic is in Hell. A cubicle, a desk, a suit, no weapon, no family, no friends, no contacts…Shane’s option may look pretty viable right now. At the end, you could see him weighing all of his options until it hit him…this is the best it will get for him.

Fuck the Sopranos. There, I said it. Fuck the Sopranos. You want a superb drama with a bad guy at the center, something that hits every episode with top-notch acting, great stories, and believable characters, start renting (or heck, it’ll be worth your money to buy them) each and every season of The Shield until you’re done watching it. Then go back and watch it again, because Tony Soprano ain’t got shit on Vic Mackey, and Christopher Montisani (sp?) ain’t got shit on Shane Vandrel. I only wish I could watch this for the first time again. It was so good that I want to get amnesia, forget I ever saw it, then watch the whole damn thing all over again. Fuck the Sopranos.

This may sound mean, but this is the best I’ve ever seen Clea Duvall look. She actually looks pretty, rather than mannish in Heroes, The Faculty or Buffy the Vampire Slayer. This episode was a bit tricksy. One murder leads to another one that happened decades ago. It was some good writing that, at the end, paralleled the older woman with Clea’s character. Judith Light scares me. She needs to eat a burger or something.
