My car is the Corolla, and the F150 belongs to the guy I slid into. I was going down a pretty steep hill and changing lanes, preparing to turn left at the stop light at the bottom of the hill. As I put a little more pressure on the brakes (I was already using them and wasn't going that fast to begin with), I started sliding, couldn't get out of it, and bounced off the side of an F150. I should learn tonight or tomorrow if the car is repairable or a loss. Let's everyone cross our fingers for repairable, because we can't afford a new car right now.

Guh! But are you ok?
Pissed off, but okay. The guys in the truck were fine, also. My car is in the shop and I'm driving a Chevy Cobalt from Enterprise Rental. The guy at the body shop said there's a very good chance that it'll be an easy fix, even with replace the tire rod that snapped.
Yikes. Well, I'm glad to hear that you are ok! Any word back on the status of fixing up/totalling the car?
If you need a second opinion or advice, my boyfriend works as an adjustor for Progressive (and he specializes in total losses)...offer's on the table if you need help :)
I'm hoping to hear something today. And I appreciate the offer of help. If it turns out to be a loss, we're going to look at this as forcing us to get the minivan we need.
